About Gladys M. Anderson

Hi, my name is Gladys Anderson and I’m so glad you found me.

For the past 14 years I’ve counseled hundreds of couples and individual who have honored me with a lens to view their pain, joy, heartaches, and struggles. I have a masters degree in Counseling Psychology and am a licensed marriage & family therapist.

However, in 2006 realized a lot of my clients were professional women who despite years of formal education and status still struggled with “saying no”, making choices without guilt, setting personal boundaries around what is acceptable, not feeling “good enough” and the “doing too much” syndrome.

My training as a therapist puts me in a unique position to coach women who feel stuck, do too much and feel guilty when they say “no”.

 Other Things About Me

I am affectionately known as the Self-Care Genie because I am fiercely committed to teaching busy, overwhelmed women to take time for self-care.

I teach women how to move from overwhelm, over-committed, and overlooked to calmness, empowerment and focus so they can live their best unique life.

I love to travel and experience new things. I’m an amateur genealogist, love “techy” stuff, reading and solving word puzzles.

I am the author of numerous self-help articles and conduct workshops on such topics as boundary setting, empowerment, confidence building, relationships, self-control, stress management, gratitude, life balance, communications and other topics that help women slow down, jump off the hamster wheel, and take charge of their lives.

What I Know For Sure

We all have the power of choice whether you’re deciding what to have for dinner tonight, whether to get married, have children, or how you react to circumstances in your life.  The choice is yours!
